Attempt all questions.
Define subset and superset of a set.
If each element of a set A is also an element of a set B then the set A is called the subset of the set B which is denoted by  the symbol  , e. g.
A = {2, 4, 6, 8, 10}  and B = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10}
Each element of the set a is also an element of set B. So  that can be reads as ‘set a is a subset of B’.
Super set:  If  , then the set B is called the super set of A. i. e   that can be read as ‘the set B is the super set of set A’.
Define Natural and whole numbers.
The numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, ……….. that we use for counting the objects are called the counting numbers or natural numbers.
The set of natural numbers is presented as N = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ……….}
The number 0 together with the natural or counting numbers gives us the whole numbers. The set of whole numbers is denoted by the letter W.
W = {0, 1, 2, 3, 4, …………….}
Simplify the following.
 
          Answer =   4.25
Azeem bought 90 eggs for Rs. 315, 10 eggs were rotten. He sold the eggs at the rate of Rs. 4 per egg. Find that Azeem is in profit or loss and also find its percentage.
Answer: profit percentage = 1.59
Subtract the second expression from the first.

    Answer:   
 
A tin can is 80 cm long, 60 cm wide and 40 cm high. Find the capacity of tin can.
Volume = length × breadth × height
       = 80 cm × 60 cm  × 40 cm   =  192,000 cm3
